Ring in the New
As we celebrate a new decade, I want to say thank you for your continued support, and share with you our vision for 2010. It is often said that challenging times build character. The past two years have certainly been character building for me as a mortgage advisor and the owner of a small mortgage company. If ever there was an industry marked by a target, it is the mortgage industry. Given the immense amount of scrutiny and regulatory change, I am blessed to be one of the 40% who has survived in a profession that has lost 60% of its workforce. With continued changes and interest rate volatility, 2010 will likely be another interesting year.
Outreach
As a company committed to serving people, we found there to be no shortgage of families in need of help in 2009. In addition to serving with and supporting several charitable organizations, we did our first Thanksgiving Food Drive this year. We are proud to say that we fed 44 families. We thank each person who helped us with this project, and look forward to feeding more families next year. We also did our annual City Creek Angels, where we helped provide Christmas for families in need.
We also celebrated our tenth year of heading a quarterly blood drive with the American Red Cross. To date we have raised over 1,000 pints of blood. We invite you to be a part of our blood donors. Please let us know if you would be willing to be a donor. Each pint of blood saves a life!
2010 will be a year in which we further integrate our clients into our service projects. We will be organizing opportunities for our City Creek Family to serve alongside with me and my team as we help make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Please let us know if you and your familiy would like to be a part of feeding the homeless, or donating time at other local charities. many people have the desire to serve but do not have the connection to a group that organizes the opportunities. We want to be that connecting source for you.
A New Year a New Way
Connecting with Clients

My vision for my team in 2010 is to become more connected to our clients and partners. As a part of that we will be using this website, Facebook, and Twitter. We have redesigned our website to more interactive and helpful to you our clients. More exciting updates and features to come. Also, if you haven’t already done so, please connect with us on Facebook and Twitter. We will be using these sites to further our outreach as well as for education and relevant financial and real estate news. I would also love for you to be a friend on my personal Facebook page.
Education
I have learned over the years the importance of developing healthy financial habits. My goal is for each of my clients to have access to training and education that will provide the tools needed to succeed. We will be introducing videos and training materials on our website soon. We encourage you to share your stories and suggestions as we build a support group that encourages fiscal discipline and promotes long term savings.
My family and my team all thank you for your continued support in 2010. We will need your referrals more than ever this year. If there is anyone you know interested in purchasing or refinancing a home, we would appreciate an introduction. If there are people you think would benefit from the educational information we provide, we would love to add them to our contact list. Please call us with their contact information and address.
Wishing you a wonderful and prosperous 2010,
Michael Roberts
